istinguished Tree Awards recognize trees in Marple that represent the very best qualities of their species. Located on either private or public property, these specimens deserve protection and respect from our residents and township officials. This award is intended to call the attention of the public to the presence of these valuable trees in our town and educate residents about the value of great trees to a community. Factors that are considered in the selection of a distinguished tree include the rarity of its species, its size, age, and beauty. If you would like to nominate a tree for the Distinguished Tree Award, please click on the “Distinguished Tree Nomination Form” link below, then print out and mail a completed form for this purpose to Rick Ray, Marple Tree Commission, 227 South Sproul Road, Broomall, PA  19008.
